●● A BAND which plays rock and pop covers will perform a charity gig in Sutton.

The Dirty Jezebels have built up a name for themselves performing convincing covers of rock and pop classics in and around Macclesfie­ld and further afield.

The four-piece group will perform classics from the 70s up until today at a charity gig at Sutton Scout HQ next month.

The gig will raise money for two popular local charities – the Rossendale Trust on Hollin Lane in Sutton, which supports people with physical and learning disabiliti­es, and the Sutton Scout and Guides group.

The gig will take place on Saturday, November 12.

Doors open at 8pm and there will be a bar.

The Chinese Marbles are a popular party band at gigs and functions across Sutton and Macclesfie­ld.

Their set consists of tunes including soul, jazz, funk, rock, reggae and their own compositio­ns.

They are often a favourite on the line-up at the annual Langley Fete. The band members play different instrument­s in different tunes.

Tickets are on sale for their Christmas Bash which will take place at Langley Village Hall, on Friday, December 16.

Doors open at 8pm and the band will play from 9pm until 11.30pm.
