Laugh out loud at night of one-act comedy plays
IT’LL BE laughs all round when Bollington Festival Players put on two one-act plays for their next production.
The group will perform funny plays The Fat Lady Sings in Little Grimley and Strictly Sex-Factor on Ice, by David Tristram.
There is a small cast of Richard Comish playing Gordon, Emma Sheldon playing Margaret, Michael Scott playing Bernard and Di Gordon playing Joyce.
Jane Wells, from Bollington Festival Players, said: “This is a night of two one-act plays so it’s double value for money.
“Both plays are very funny and it promises to be a great evening out.”
In The Fat Lady Sings In Little Grimley, Margaret, Joyce and Bernard are back to tackle yet another threat to their survival in the shape of a rival am-dram group determined to upstage them with an awardwinning musical.
The quartet pull together to devise an ingenious military-style plan. When their subterfuge is discovered by the rival society’s psychopathic front-ofhouse manager, he’s none too pleased. Add in a few emotional complications for Gordon and things look a little grim for Little Grimley.
In Strictly Sex Factor On Ice the am-dram society is faced with yet another threat as reality TV shows have ravaged their Saturday night audiences.
Chairman Gordon has devised a cunning plan with their own live Saturday night blockbuster.
