THE finalists for this year’s North East Cheshire Business Awards have been chosen after a lengthy judging process.

More than 25 judges picked the finalists for this year’s awards, which celebrate the cream of the business community in Macclesfield and around the area.

The shortlist for the 11 categories was chosen at an event hosted by Orbit Developments’ Greenway House on Tytherington Business Park, which gave judges the opportunity to meet category entrants face to face and gather supporting evidence to choose the winner, with representatives from more than 34 companies and organisations given the opportunity to promote their business.

Sue Bowden from Macclesfield Chamber of Commerce, the lead organiser of the event said: “Judging has gone well today and we wish all our finalists the best of luck. They now have a nail-biting to wait until November 17 th – our awards night at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Knutsford – to find out whether they have won.”

Paul McLeman, leasing Director at Orbit Developments, added: “The quality of entries for the North East Cheshire Business Awards were extremely high this year and this reflects the number of fantastic businesses based within Wilmslow, Knutsford, Macclesfield and the surrounding areas.

“As a result, the judging process was tough and choosing a winner for each category took a lot of deliberation. However, the hard bit is over and we’re all looking forward to the awards evening at The Mere where the winners will be revealed and celebrated.”

Music mogul Pete Waterman will be the guest speaker at a glittering black tie event when the winners are announced.

Tickets have been selling fast for the presentation, dinner and dance, but there is still time to buy, even if your business hasn’t made the shortlist, it’s still a great opportunity to mingle with other businesses - it’s never too early to pick up tips for next year.

The gala dinner at The Mere in Knutsford is on Thursday, November 17.

Anyone is welcome to attend the evening, with tickets priced at £59.50 plus VAT.

Tickets can be booked at necbawards.co.uk.
