Volunteers and staff take to the catwalk for fabulous fundraiser

-

TENANTS and staff from the Rossendale Trust looked fabulous when they strutted their stuff on the catwalk.

They were modelling outfits from SOS Boutique, in Bramhall, and Best Man Ltd suit hire, for a special event in aid of the charity.

And as well as feeling like a million dollars, they also managed to raise almost £3,000.

Sue Heaven, head of fundraising at the Trust, said it was a fantastic night for everyone involved.

She said: “I was so proud of everyone who stepped out on the catwalk that night.

“Both tenants and staff looked fantastic, dressed in the latest styles and put on an excellent show”.

In total £2,800 was raised, which is fantastic news for the charity which provides care and support for adults with learning and physical disabilities.

The event was held at the Tytherington Club, with the money from ticket sales going to the Hollin Lane charity.

Every role on the night, from model to waitress, presenter to ticket collector was performed by tenants and staff from the charity.

The event has become more than just a great fundraiser for the Trust – it’s a chance for the tenants to get on the catwalk and strut their stuff. If you would like to know more about the Trust please give us a call on 01260 252500 or visit www.rossendaletrust.org
