Sylks return in winning style

- JUNIOR FOOTBALL

MACCLESFIELD Town Ladies FC under 11s’ opponents Frodsham Town were up against it from the moment the whistle blew.

The Sylks battled hard to win the ball and with great passing and movement it wasn’t long before they were on the scoresheet, with two great goals from Ebony Stewart and a goal from Georgia Estrin.

Frodsham started the the second half strong, but the Slyks defence was determined not to concede with goalkeeper Kacy Bolton dealing with everything thrown at her.

Sylks counter attacked with a stunning goal from Tatiana Pollard, followed shortly after by defender Holly Hurst who scored with a sublime strike.

Girl of the game went to Eleanor Boyd for her tremendous work rate.

In the second match the opponents were Hartford Harriers, once again the Sylks dominated the play, and once again Ebony Stewart making the most of a chance to dribble the ball towards the goal and finish off sweetly, a superb solo effort.

Hartford Harriers came back strong and attacked many times with Kacy Bolton once again keeping a clean sheet with help from Holly Hurst.

The game was wrapped up with Ebony Stewart scoring the final goal of the game, a great performance by all players and well done to coaches Monica Pollard and Ryan Stewart.
