YOUR THEATRE STAR

-

Name: Luke Buck. Hometown: Bollington. Job: Sixth Form student at Tytherington School. Which theatre company are you involved with?: Bollington Festival Players. Have you taken part in any productions recently?: The Bollington Festival Players pantomime, The Pied Piper. Which character did you play in the panto?: The evil wizard Sour-Kraut. What do you like about the character you played?: I loved the intensity of being a bad guy, as I normally play the good characters. How long have you been with the Bollington Festival Players?: Since I was nine years old so this was my eighth pantomime. What did you most enjoy?: Being able to utilise my lower voice. Have you been in any other productions?: Yes, as well as the previous eight pantomimes I have appeared in Jesus Christ Superstar with MADs, Showtime and Oliver with the Bollington Light Opera Group and various school productions. Who is your favourite actor and why?: David Thewlis, he played Lupin in the Harry Potter movies. I like him because I have seen him in different genres and he always makes me invest in the character he is playing. He really draws you in... If you could play any part what would it be and why?: I would be the voice of a cartoon character, because I have always wanted to be a voice actor and with voice acting you are able to experiment with lots of different kinds of voices. Are you involved in any other projects at the moment?: Only at school, I am co-directing a pantomime for an in-house competition with my fellow A-Level Drama students. What do you most enjoy about doing this?: Mostly getting to act in front of people but also the interaction between the audience and the cast, if you have a good audience you will have a great pantomime.
