Kerry adds to solicitor firm’s help for elderly
A LAW firm is hoping to extend its service offering following the appointment of a new associate solicitor.
Kerry Blackhurst has joined the private client team at the Macclesfield office of SAS Daniels LLP.
She joins from Linder Myers Solicitors where she was an Associate in the Health and Social Care team.
She brings new expertise to the firm, specialising in the legalities relating to the provision of funding for adult social care or healthcare, and helping elderly clients access funding to support care in their own home or in a residential or nursing home.
Kerry said: “Cheshire East has the highest ageing population in the North West and there are likely to be many elderly local residents who just don’t know where to turn for support when they fall ill or become unable to adequately care for themselves any longer.
“Elderly people can very quickly find themselves in need of support from social services, but getting access to care when they need it most can be incredibly frustrating for both the person in need of care and their families.
“I can help families navigate our complex adult social care system and enable them to access the support they are entitled to.
