Champs head off to South Africa
THE Fallibroome U19 netball team, consisting of Charlotte Nelson, Jasmine Langley, Ellie Kirk, Erica Jones, Taylor Turner, Mary Nelson, Josie Heron and Niamh Lewis retained their title of Cheshire netball champions this week.
They came up against some tough competition, particularly from Wilmslow and King’s Macclesfield, but managed to win all of their matches. This was an excellent victory for the girls ahead of their netball tour to South Africa.
Ellie Kirk, captain of the victorious team said: “It was an honour to be able to captain the U19 netball team through, what will be for some, our final county tournament representing the Fallibroome Academy.
“We are all very proud to represent our school and we have been training hard to compete to the best of our ability.
“We will shortly be ending our season with a netball tour to South Africa for which I would like to thank our teachers and parents for their tremendous support.”
