WE would like to say congratulations to one of our regular listeners, Mr Dermott O’Connor, who spotted the deliberate mistake contained in one of the competitions on our website www. canalsideradio.net.

Dermott pointed out that the date stated in the text of the competition to win a pair of tickets to see Cilla and the Shades of the 60s at Stockport Plaza should have been Friday March 17, 2017, not Friday 16. The competition will run until Thursday, March 16, 2017 so you still have plenty of time to enter it. There are always new competitions going on to the website so please ensure that you visit it, and our social media pages, on a regular basis. Mark Blackman is also holding a ‘bit of fun’ competition every Wednesday on the breakfast show. Make sure you tune in to 102.8FM to find out more details.

We have now officially launched our new website, www. canalsideradio.net which will feature all radio-related items. We will continue, on behalf of the Make it Macclesfield business forum, to populate and manage the website www.thethread.org.uk where you will be able, amongst other things, to look at the most comprehensive What’s On guide in North East Cheshire and surrounding areas such as Buxton and Stockport. Our shows are now being listened to by more and more and people worldwide who tell us that they enjoy the wide variety of genres of music that we play.
