Thumbs up for top 10 nurseries
THREE nurseries in Macclesfield and Bollington have been named among the most recommended by parents and carers.
Scamps Day Nursery, based at South Park, and Footprints, based in Bollington and Macclesfield, have been ranked within the top 10 Recommended Nurseries at the Daynurseries.co.uk awards.
The annual award is run by industry website and online directory daynurseries.co.uk and is based solely on reviews by parents and carers.
Scamps, of Poplar Road, was named in the top three recommended nurseries in the whole of the UK and top in the North West region.
It is owned and managed by John and Deborah Sutton, who bought the nursery six years ago.
John said: “It’s a huge achievement to be ranked the best in the North West and the third highest rated day nursery out of more than 11,000 nurseries across England. It is testament to our uncompromising commitment to quality, our incredible team and the emphasis we place on ensuring Scamps provides all of our children with the best possible start to life. We are passionate about what we do, and our expert team work hard to ensure that every day is amazing.”
There are two branches of Footprints Family Day Nursery, founded by former headteacher Margaret Huntington, with a branch on Cumberland Street in Macclesfield and Albert Road in Bollington.
The group was named within the top 10 of the Recommended Small Nursery Groups accord- ing to the parent poll, and the Albert Road branch was named in the top 10 in the North West.
Rachel Parry, nursery manager of Footprints Day Nursery in Bollington said: “We are so delighted to receive these awards. We are incredibly proud of all our staff and the commitment and dedication they put in to making Footprints a safe, happy and fun-filled environment where children learn and develop.
“The early years are such an important part of a child’s life and knowing we make a difference to this makes our job even more rewarding.
“We could not have done this without our parents and grandparents so I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for taking the time to write their review.”
All three nurseries are rated as Outstanding by Ofsted.
