King’s teams crowned national champs
IT’S lift off for the King’s School’s high flyers who have produced a record haul of medals in the National Schools’ Trampoline Championships.
Now rated as the best school nationwide, King’s produced an incredible two national team champions teams at under 11 intermediate for both boys and girls with three second place finishes, a third place and a fourth place.
In all six out of seven teams were placed in the top three in Britain, while the under 14 intermediate girls were placed fourth and were only 0.7 from a podium place.
King’s Trampoline Coach Rachael Burrows Jarvis, who is pictured with her winners, said: “The hard work, dedication and resilience has all paid off and I am so proud of all the children and the support shown by the parents.”
THE RESULTS WERE:
Under 11 intermediate boys National Champions: Oliver Jones, Ben Willock, Simon Shadwell and Will Gem Under 11 intermediate girls National Champions: Sophie Fletcher, Lydia Hine, Iona Whaley and Leah Shadwell. Under 11 novice boys second: Otis Hughes, Oliver Carter, Oliver Pinches and Joseph Bailey-Heald Under 11 novice girls third: Poppy Fletcher, Emily Burton, Jenny Wallace and Georgie Sanders Under 14 elite girls second: Susie Moores, May Broadley, Florence Thompson and Amelia Robinson-Stanier Under 19 elite boys second: Harry Pinches, Harry Collett amnd Alex Fray and Under 14 intermediate girls fourth: Jess Burton, Millie Crummack, Lottie Clark and Vicky Theaker In the individual events Sophie Fletcher came fourth and Oliver Jones seventh.
