Dance group gets active for MAC centre funds

-

A DANCE group will raise money for the new skating floor at a youth centre.

The roller skating floor at MAC Multi-Activity centre was damaged by flooding a few months ago.

Bosses have fixed it temporarily but are raising money to replace it. It will mean that the community can use the floor for other activities as well as skating.

Young dancers at Dance Addicts in Macclesfield are doing a fundraising day for the centre.

Allan Lowden, principal, said: “We will be doing a toddler takeover, which will have dancing and fun classes for pre school children and three dance classes in the afternoon followed by a skating session.

“We’ve had a couple of parties there for dancing and we’ve helped out with other fundraisers so we asked if they wanted us to do a whole day of fundraising with different classes from parent and toddler classes, arts and crafts, all styles dance classes to adult Clubbercise classes.”

The fundraising day is on Wednesday, May 31. The toddler class is £5 per toddler and the dance classes and skating is £15.

A crowdfunding page has been set up at justgiving.com/ crowdfunding/carriebower.
