The new post – cabinet member of democratic and public engagement, assurance and ICT – goes to Coun Peter Groves, who was previously cabinet member for finance. Coun Liz Durham, who represents Broken Cross and Upton, will no longer be the portfolio holder for children and families, with Coun George Hayes taking on the role.

Another new face is councillor Liz Wardlaw who becomes cabinet member for health. These new cabinet posts were due to be announced at today’s (Wednesday) meeting of the full council. The rest of the cabinet remains the same.
