-

A COUNCIL company has snapped up its second award in a month.

Civicance – Cheshire East Council’s whollyowned building regulation, planning and land charges company – received a silver award recognising the innovative approach to remodelling local services.

The award was presented at the eighth annual awards event held by the organisation Improvement and Efficiency Social Enterprise (iESE). It recognises how Civicance has helped to reduce costs for the council taxpayer by remodelling council services through an arm’s-length company, generating income and creating sustainability going forward.

Ian Bunn, managing director, said: “This award demonstrates the commitment of and contribution made by all Civicance employees, who have experienced significant changes to their working practices in order to improve services to local residents.

“The award recognises their achievements within a relatively short period of time and congratulations go to each and every member of staff we employ.”

Last month, Civicance achieved success at the Land Data Awards, collecting the ‘Best Customer Experience’ award for its services to solicitors and home buyers.
