WINE

ONE of the growing trends in the wine market are special edition ranges and the use of unusual grape varieties grown in smaller parcels.

This week I have both: an Australian wine made as a tribute to a winemaking legend and another Aussie wine made from a variety which is more readily found in Italy.

Elsewhere I have been making use of the Wine Society’s click and collect service which has made its wines collectible the following day from a local retailers.

It makes ordering from the society’s fabulous selection of wines so much easier; without the ‘will I be in then?’ dilemma.

The society is particularly strong in the £5 to £10 bracket and I

recommend a couple bottles just right for summer drinking.
