RE­CENT cases heard at South and East Cheshire mag­is­trates court:

BEN­JAMIN Charles Preece, 35, of Nel­son Street, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted two charges of theft of a tin of tuna and a cheese and pork loin. He was re­manded in cus­tody to ap­pear at Ch­ester Crown Court for sen­tence on June 6.

PAUL Holden, 43, of Bank Street, Mac­cles­field, was found guilty of as­sault af­ter a trial. He was fined £240 and or­dered to pay £620 costs.

NATHAN Dean Machin, 25, of Within­ton Road, Manch­ester, ad­mit­ted two charges of as­sault in Mac­cles­field and theft of al­co­hol. He was sen­tenced to four months in prison sus­pended for 12 months. He was given a cur­few for three months and or­dered to at­tend up to 20 days Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Ac­tiv­ity Re­quire­ment.

JOHN Foy, 34, of Bri­ar­wood Av­enue, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted be­ing drunk and dis­or­derly in pub­lic. He was given a con­di­tional dis­charge for six months.

RICHARD James Cun­ning­ham, 46, of Cross Street, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted seven charges of theft and tak­ing a ve­hi­cle without con­sent. He was sen­tenced to 12 weeks in prison sus­pended for 12 months.

STEPHANIE Lau­ren Smith, 26, of Elm Vale, Liver­pool, ad­mit­ted as­sault in Mac­cles­field and pos­ses­sion of cannabis. She was sen­tenced to two months in prison sus­pended for 12 months and or­dered to pay £30 com­pen­sa­tion.

LIAM Wil­son, 21, of Grimshaw Lane, Bolling­ton, was found guilty of as­sault. He was sen­tenced to three months in prison sus­pended for 12 months. He was also given 180 hours un­paid work and 20 days Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Ac­tiv­ity Re­quire­ment. He must also pay £125 com­pen­sa­tion.

MARTIN Ge­orge Craik, 42, of Bux­ton Road, Mac­cles­field, in­di­cated a plea of guilty to ma­li­ciously in­flict­ing griev­ous bod­ily harm. He was re­manded in cus­tody to ap­pear at Ch­ester Crown Court on June 12.

IAN Baron San­ders, 40, of Keats Drive, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted two charges of theft. He was given a con­di­tional dis­charge for 12 months.

ROBERT Matthew White, 24, of Chapel Street, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted threat­en­ing to set fire to ac­com­mo­da­tion be­long­ing to Hill­dale Hous­ing As­so­ci­a­tion. He was bailed for sen­tenc­ing on June 7.

LEE David Kirk, 31, of Park­gate Road, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted two charges of drug driv­ing. He was fined £350 and banned for 14 months.

MATTHEW Wil­liam Clay­ton, 33, of Chapel Street, Mac­cles­field, de­nied as­sault. He was bailed for the trial on Au­gust 1.

LUCY El­lis, 41, of Glegg Street, Mac­cles­field, de­nied as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing ac­tual bod­ily harm. She was bailed for the trial on July 21.

RYAN An­thony Evans, 34, of South Park Road, Mac­cles­field, ap­peared charged with pos­ses­sion of in­de­cent photographs, pos­ses­sion of an ex­treme porno­graphic im­age, pos­ses­sion of cannabis with in­tent to sup­ply, pos­ses­sion of MDMA, and pos­ses­sion of am­phet­a­mine with in­tent to sup­ply. He was bailed to at­tend Ch­ester Crown Court on June 12.

THOMAS Lees, 19, of Hert­ford Close, Con­gle­ton, ad­mit­ted drink driv­ing in Mac­cles­field. He was fined £223 and was banned for 16 months.

MARK Ivan Hol­land, 58, of Lon­don Road South, Poyn­ton, was found guilty of us­ing threat­en­ing or abu­sive words or be­hav­iour, driv­ing without due care and at­ten­tion, and re­sist­ing a po­lice con­sta­ble. He was fined £300 and given three points on his li­cence.
