RECENT cases heard at South and East Cheshire magistrates court:
BENJAMIN Charles Preece, 35, of Nelson Street, Macclesfield, admitted two charges of theft of a tin of tuna and a cheese and pork loin. He was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court for sentence on June 6.
PAUL Holden, 43, of Bank Street, Macclesfield, was found guilty of assault after a trial. He was fined £240 and ordered to pay £620 costs.
NATHAN Dean Machin, 25, of Withinton Road, Manchester, admitted two charges of assault in Macclesfield and theft of alcohol. He was sentenced to four months in prison suspended for 12 months. He was given a curfew for three months and ordered to attend up to 20 days Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.
JOHN Foy, 34, of Briarwood Avenue, Macclesfield, admitted being drunk and disorderly in public. He was given a conditional discharge for six months.
RICHARD James Cunningham, 46, of Cross Street, Macclesfield, admitted seven charges of theft and taking a vehicle without consent. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.
STEPHANIE Lauren Smith, 26, of Elm Vale, Liverpool, admitted assault in Macclesfield and possession of cannabis. She was sentenced to two months in prison suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £30 compensation.
LIAM Wilson, 21, of Grimshaw Lane, Bollington, was found guilty of assault. He was sentenced to three months in prison suspended for 12 months. He was also given 180 hours unpaid work and 20 days Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. He must also pay £125 compensation.
MARTIN George Craik, 42, of Buxton Road, Macclesfield, indicated a plea of guilty to maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm. He was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on June 12.
IAN Baron Sanders, 40, of Keats Drive, Macclesfield, admitted two charges of theft. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months.
ROBERT Matthew White, 24, of Chapel Street, Macclesfield, admitted threatening to set fire to accommodation belonging to Hilldale Housing Association. He was bailed for sentencing on June 7.
LEE David Kirk, 31, of Parkgate Road, Macclesfield, admitted two charges of drug driving. He was fined £350 and banned for 14 months.
MATTHEW William Clayton, 33, of Chapel Street, Macclesfield, denied assault. He was bailed for the trial on August 1.
LUCY Ellis, 41, of Glegg Street, Macclesfield, denied assault occasioning actual bodily harm. She was bailed for the trial on July 21.
RYAN Anthony Evans, 34, of South Park Road, Macclesfield, appeared charged with possession of indecent photographs, possession of an extreme pornographic image, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, possession of MDMA, and possession of amphetamine with intent to supply. He was bailed to attend Chester Crown Court on June 12.
THOMAS Lees, 19, of Hertford Close, Congleton, admitted drink driving in Macclesfield. He was fined £223 and was banned for 16 months.
MARK Ivan Holland, 58, of London Road South, Poynton, was found guilty of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, driving without due care and attention, and resisting a police constable. He was fined £300 and given three points on his licence.
