Wedding photo awards
A HOTEL has launched a competition to find the the best wedding photos around.
Mottram Hall Hotel has opened its annual search for the best wedding photos in Macclesfield and across the county, with the QHotels Wedding Photo Awards opens for entries on Facebook and Instagram.
After receiving more than 2,500 entries and votes in the first Wedding Photo Awards last year, Mottram Hall is now calling for entries to the 2017 competition, which will celebrate the memorable moments captured at weddings, from the funny to the romantic.
Anyone can submit a photo – whether an experienced photographer or a guest at a wedding – by posting it on QHotels’ Facebook or Instagram page using the hashtag #WeddingPhotoAwards, along with the name of the category they wish to enter.
The winner of each category will receive a one-night break for two with dinner.
The 2017 Wedding Photo Award categories are best ‘first look’ photo funniest wedding photo, best ‘perfect kiss’ photo, best ‘first dance’ photo and best ‘themed wedding’ photo.
Entries will close on July 3 when QHotels’ expert wedding panel will announce the shortlist for each category, before going to a public vote on social media to decide the winner.
Deirdre Billing, general manager at Mottram Hall, who launched the awards, said: “We received some fantastic entries from the people of Macclesfield into last year’s competition, from stunning black and white photography, to comically-staged group photographs and photo-bombed selfies.
“We’re expecting to see even more creative shots entered into the 2017 awards.”
The hotel has just picked up an award for the events and conferences it hosts.
It received the VenueVerdict Gold Standard Accreditation from BDRC Continental, the UK’s largest independent research agency, based on feedback and how likely organisations are to recommend the venue for a conference or event.
The latest results mean Mottram Hall has held the award for over a year as it was awarded throughout 2016.
