MACCLESFIELD boxer Jake Haigh is set to make his return to the ring this weekend when he competes on a bill at Middleton Arena.

The 22-year-old is fighting on a Black Flash Promotions show that has been put together by Pat Barrett.

Haigh has made a perfect start to his professional career, winning all three of his fights since making his debut, with two of those victories coming by stoppage.

His last fight came in February when he stopped Bryn Wain in the third round of

their bout at Fenton Manor Sports Complex in Stoke-on-Trent.

Haigh is one of several prospects that will be in action on the card in Middleton on Saturday, with English lightmiddleweight champion Matthew Ryan also fighting.

Ryan won the English title in his last fight when he defeated Sonny Upton by majority decision in March, and will now have a keep busy fight against experienced veteran William Warburton.

Two of Ryan’s stablemates are also fighting, as unbeaten light heavyweight Lyndon Arthur takes on Nathan King.

Arthur is 5-0 in his professional career, with four of those wins coming by knockout, including a fourth round stoppage win against Toni Bilic at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre in March.

Chris Monaghan will look to try and return to winning ways on the bill when he faces Casey Blair.

Monaghan was held to a draw against Sam Omidi in his last fight, meaning he now has a record of five wins, one draw and one defeat.
