Villages fall silent
MACCLESFIELD, Poynton, Bollington and the surrounding villages fell silent on Thursday to remember the victims of the arena bomb attack.
Dozens of residents, shoppers and workers gathered outside the Town Hall in Macclesfield to pay their respects.
Meanwhile pupils at St John’s School in Bollington held hands to stage a minute’s silence.
Afterwards the Reception children wrote prayers that they hung off a tree in the new woodland area.
