Pass the bubble test with flying colours

ONE of the most enjoyable family fundraising events of the year takes place at Alderley Park this weekend.

Bubble Rush, now in its third year, is proving to be one of the most successful in the East Cheshire Hospice fundraising calendar, with hundreds taking part last year – and this year will be no exception.

More of a fun run than a race, the 5k event will take place on Saturday, and with food available and DJ entertainment it should be perfect for people of all ages, particularly groups of families. Around the course there are four Bubble Stations, each with a large foam cannon pumping out coloured bubbles, ensuring lots of fun for all.

Organisers hope the new venue at Alderley Park will prove attractive for Macclesfield ‘Bubblers’ after its move from Oulton Park, where it was first introduced in 2015.

The event begins from 11.30am. Tickets will be available on the day for anyone wanting to take part. Adult tickets are £25, with child tickets priced at only £10.

Jessica Ruth, events manager at East Cheshire Hospice, said: “Everyone loves Bubble Rush – it’s just good old frothy fun and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone there again this year.”
