Pupils honoured with awards

-

MACCLESFIELD College celebrated its student achievements with a glamorous awards ceremony.

Students, parents and staff gathered at Cranage Estate Hall in Cheshire to celebrate Macclesfield College’s top achievers at its annual student awards.

The ceremony, which recognises the hard work, commitment and outstanding accomplishments, saw the college’s principal and chief executive Rachel Kay, and assistant principal Chantelle Dewberry, present awards to students across the college’s full-time curriculum in July.

Thirty-two students were awarded across categories such as the Student of the Year for Attendance and the Student of the Year for Notable Progression.

Rachel Kay said: “We are committed to helping every learner achieve their maximum potential and host the awards to recognise and honour our students for their personal triumphs.

“How well our students are doing is a direct reflection on our achievements as a college and their results are truly exceptional.

“The college is on a journey to becoming an outstanding training provider and looking back at our learners’ accomplishments in the last academic year, it is clear that we’re well underway.

“I want to thank the college staff and parents who enable us to grow and provide our students with inspiration and opportunities that let them not only become workready and secure jobs but follow their dreams and build exciting careers.”

If you’re still considering your options for the next academic year, it is not too late to enrol on a course at Macclesfield College or contact the team to find out more and make an informed decision. For more information and the wide range of courses available, visit www. macclesfield.ac.uk.
