Excitement at new All Hallows term

-

IT’S been a big week for the town’s 12-year-olds who have started their high school education.

Among the schools welcoming new students is All Hallows Catholic College.

Students began their day by meeting new tutor and classmates, many of whom had already met during a summer group trip to Liverpool Hope University.

They then met with executive principal Tony Billings, who gave the students a presentation on the school’s core values and talked about what to expect during their time at the college.

Teacher Mrs Ives said: “What a wonderful way to start the year, with happy faces and positive energy from all the students.

“The process was more enjoyable as we had already met each other, from either the Liverpool Hope trip or the primary transition day.”

Mr Aspinall, year seven learning leader, said: “Uniforms looking immaculate, time keeping was impressive as well.

“Really looking forward to getting to know and working with such a young group of students who clearly have bags of ability.

“Tutors have all made very positive comments too about their first day.”
