‘Tuxedo’ Poppet is looking for quiet life

-

A MATURE cat is looking for a new home after continuously being over-looked in favour of younger models.

A particularly busy kitten season at Cats Protection in Macclesfield has resulted in some older cats, including 10-yearold Poppet, being ignored.

Lyn Hooper, Macclesfield Branch Co-ordinator, is appealing for someone to provide Poppet with a permanent home.

She said: “We are always delighted when any of our cats or kittens are homed but this season has been hard on some of our older cats who need a new home to start enjoying their senior years.

“Beautiful black and white ‘tuxedo’ cat, Poppet, is looking for a quieter life, ideally in a home without children or other pets. She is a little timid at first but once she gets to know you she likes to be stroked and petted.”

Poppet loves being brushed and enjoys company and attention. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, with all her flea and worm treatments up to date. She has mild kidney disease, which is common in cats her age and can be managed through kidney-supporting food, but is happy and in otherwise good health.

Cats Protection in Macclesfield has a number of other cats looking for their loving homes. To meet Poppet or any of her fellow felines call 01625 801 802 or go to cats.org.uk/macclesfield/ adopt-a-cat/.
