All Hallows switch paves way for AFC to

- BOB HASLAM

AFTER having to play their football in Stockport over the last four seasons, FA Charter Standard Club AFC Macclesfield have now secured the use of All Hallows Academy’s 3G football pitch for the new season, 2017/18.

The club has had considerable success over the last few years and now, at last, it has the opportunity to play their Cheshire League football in Macclesfield.

The Cheshire Football League is one of the top FA Step 7 leagues in the country and unfortunately, until now, there hasn’t been a suitable facility available in Macclesfield for the club to play their home games.

Whilst AFC Macclesfield is delighted to be playing at All Hallows, further investment is required by the club and its partners to meet the stringent requirements of the Cheshire Football League, which include the provision of portable dugouts.

AFC Macclesfield secretary Bob Haslam said: “Thanks must go out to All Hallows Academy for all their help and Audi Macclesfield and Chrome Motors of Woodford for their continued support and sponsorship of the club’s match day and training kits. Without them the club would be unable to survive at this standard.

“The club is also hoping that there are other companies and individuals in the town who could help in some small way and join us as partners in our quest to support local talented footballers to play at a high standard of football.
