Tickets on sale for night of glamour

-

SPARKLING ball gowns and dashing dinner jackets will bring more than a touch of glamour to the Winter Wonderland Ball in aid of East Cheshire Hospice.

Tickets are now on sale for the gala event at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa on Friday, November 24, 7pm to 1.30am.

The Ball raised a record £85,000 last year, with proceeds funding core care costs for patients with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers.

Demand for the 500 tickets is expected to be high for one of the key events in the Cheshire calendar.

Organisers are also looking for sponsors for the brochure and drinks reception, with guests treated to an elegant evening of fine dining and live entertainment.

Hundreds of tombola and auction prizes will be on offer, including a Louis Vuitton handbag and a Jaguar sports car for a weekend.

Tickets which are sold by tables of 10 are £800, with VIP tables £1,100. The organising committee includes high-profile supporters Sharon Ronnie, Ginny Blunt and Jo Dalton.

Hospice president Lord-Lieutenant David Briggs MBE KStJ will welcome guests and a relative of a patient will relay a message about the hospice’s value to families and why it relies on fundraising to cover care costs of £7,500 a day.

Hospice events manager Jo Boyd said: “It’s a glamorous occasion and we’d encourage everyone to get tickets early because it’s likely to be a sell-out.

“I know the evening will live up to its reputation as the local charity ball of the year in Cheshire. It’ll be a superb night of indulgence, fine dining, classic entertainment and magical surprises.”
