Stourbridge the next FA Cup hurdle
MACCLESFIELD Town have been drawn away to Stourbridge in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.
The two teams will meet the War Memorial Athletic Ground with a place in the first round proper up for grabs for the victor.
Macc were the last side out of the hat in the northern section of the draw, and the game is set to take place over the weekend of Saturday 14 October.
Stourbridge have made an impressive start to their league campaign in the Evo-Stik Premier, currently sitting in fourth place.
They booked their place in this round of the competition after picking up a 3-1 victory against nine-man Alfreton on Saturday.
Macclesfield will be hoping to replicate their success from last season, where they reached the second round.
Ticket news for the tie with Stourbridge is set to be revealed over the coming days on the official Macclesfield Town website.
One player that may be part of the Silkmen squad in that game is goalkeeper Sam Ramsbottom, after he joined the club late last week.
Ramsbottom arrives at the Moss Rose to provide competition with Shwan Jalal between the sticks.
The 21-year-old spent his youth career at Tranmere Rovers, before then moving on to Witton Albion. He then headed to Ireland to play for Galway United, before returning to England earlier this year on a short-term deal with Barrow.
