Win diamond worth £10,000

-

AREAL gem of a prize is being offered to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice.

A one carat diamond worth a cool £10,000 could be yours for buying a raffle ticket for £50.

The sparkling prize has been generously donated by Greeba, Michael and David Jones, owners of PR Jones Jewellers, with the draw made at the charity’s Winter Wonderland Ball on Friday, November 24.

Tickets are available from PR Jones shops in Macclesfield and Knutsford, the hospice reception and online at eastcheshirehospice.org. uk/diamondraffle.

All proceeds from sales will go to the hospice. The same raffle raised £10,000 last year and it is hoped to beat that total by £2,000 this time.

Michael Jones, who is also a hospice vice president, said: “The ball will be a fantastic night but you don’t have to be there to stand a chance of winning the diamond.

“The winner will be announced on the night and I’d encourage people to buy tickets so we can raise funds to provide much-needed care.

“The diamond is colour D which is the best colour diamond and is set on a pendant but the winner can have it in whatever form they prefer. Our family business is a long-time supporter of the hospice and proud of our links with this wonderful charity.”

Tickets for the black-tie Ball at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa are available from www. eastcheshirehospice.org. uk/ball17.

A table of 10 is £800 and VIP tables are £1,100.

Hospice events manager Jo Boyd said: “There’s still a few tickets left but they’re selling fast. It’s a glitzy, glamorous occasion and a highlight of the Cheshire social calendar.”
