Golfers’ £12k gift

GEN­ER­OUS golfers clubbed to­gether to raise more than £12,000 for a dis­abled chil­dren’s char­ity.

The 28 teams dodged the show­ers to tee off in Seashell Trust’s an­nual golf day at Wilm­slow Golf Club. Two of truck dealer F&G Com­mer­cials’ four teams took first and sec­ond with RBS tak­ing third place hon­ours.

Spon­sored by Mace, JW Lees, Honey­well, Beever & Struthers and Henri Lloyd, the event raised £12,800 for the char­ity, whose na­tional cen­tre of ex­cel­lence in Cheshire cares for chil­dren and young peo­ple from across the coun­try with com­plex phys­i­cal and learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties. It runs a spe­cial school and col­lege on site as well as res­i­den­tial care homes.
