CAMRA success is delight for Treacle
PUB owners are celebrating their bar’s inclusion in the 2018 Good Beer Guide.
The Treacle Tap, on Sunderland Street in Macclesfield, has secured a place in the guide, which is published every year by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
The owners, couple Tim Sedgwick and Bronwyn Riley, are well aware of the exacting standards of CAMRA, as their other two bars in Wilmslow and Congelton have also been included in the latest guide.
Bronwyn said: “We are so proud to have earned a place in the 2018 Good Beer Guide, it is a real accolade and testament to not only our hardworking and knowledgeable team of staff, but also all our customers.”
The guide is compiled through recommendations from local CAMRA members as well as readers of the guide.
Tim said: “We are delighted to be in this year’s guide and it is a reflection of the votes by customers in their recognition of what we provide and a tribute to Macclesfield’s good taste in beer! We set up the bars as places where we as a family would want to spend time and we hope that the friendly environments we have created are reflected in this.”
