Firm sponsors student racer Joseph
A FOOD company has sponsored a talented young racing driver.
Direct Food Ingredients, on Waters Green in the centre of Macclesfield, will sponsor Joseph Loake’s kit and kart in the coming season.
The 12-year-old caught the firm’s eye after racing through the National Schools and Youth Group Karting Association (NatSKA) Class 11 Championships, this summer.
Joseph, who attends All Hallows School, says he is over the moon with the support and hopes to take the top spot.
He said: “It’s been an incredible 12 months, first winning the Class 11 NatSKA Championship and now getting a sponsorship from Direct Food Ingredients.
“The races are national competitions so the standards are so high, with lots of strong competition from all over the country.
“Karting is something that I love doing so this sponsorship is an amazing bonus to have. Bring on the next race.”
Driving for All Hallows and Macclesfield Schools Kart Club (AMS Kart Club), Joseph has raced to victory in his first three meetings of the Senior Honda Class 12 NatSKA.
