Estate agent supports hospital’s toy appeal

AN estate agent is backing a toy appeal in aid of Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Gascoigne Halman, based on Waters Green, is backing the One Big Wish Appeal and inviting members of the public to donate to the cause.

John Halman, managing director of Gascoigne Halman, said: “We are looking forward to supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital Charity again this year. In 2012, we raised £9,498.08 for the charity, and we are hoping we can make a big difference to the children and their families who might be going through a difficult time in hospital.

“After the bomb explosion at Manchester Arena, the majority of the

STAFF at Puss Bank Primary School have raised more than £1,000 for a hospice with a 10k nighttime run.

Paul Hine, who teaches PE, and learning mentor Matthew Cooper, took part in the ‘Run in the Dark’ event in aid of Douglas Macmillan Hospice in Stoke-on-Trent.

The determined pair finished the run in 53minutes 14seconds. children injured from the attack were treated at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

“All of the doctors, surgeons, nurses, and staff did an incredible job during those very stressful and difficult times, and we look forward to giving something back to such an amazing place.”

To support the appeal people can either make a monetary donation towards the One Big Wish Appeal, or donate a toy, which can be dropped of at all the Gascoigne Halman offices – including Macclesfie­ld, Prestbury and Poynton.
