Firm lands digital trophy at Amazon awards
A CONSUMER financial technology company has been named Digital Business of the Year.
Quint, based on Oxford Road, Macclesfield, saw off competition from businesses across the UK to win the award at the 19th annual Amazon Growing Business Awards in London. The awards honour the UK’s small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) leaders, recognising the particular achievements of 17 growing UK businesses, which won awards across a variety of categories.
Greg Cox, CEO and founder of Quint, said: “The Amazon Growing Business Awards offer fantastic recognition for entrepreneurs and growing businesses across the UK.
“We are delighted to have been awarded Digital Business of the Year. Unlike many of our competitors, we develop our digital technology entirely in-house, making it extremely difficult to replicate. We are at the forefront of the fintech (financial technology) industry and winning this award is a testament to the hard work and talent of all the staff who make Quint what it is.”
The Amazon Growing Business Awards were created by Real Business and backed by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
The Awards are now the most respected and well-established national recognition programme for SMEs and entrepreneurial success, with previous VIP guests including Bill Gates and Gordon Brown.
Doug Gurr, UK country manager, Amazon, said: “A huge congratulations to Quint and all the other winners and businesses highly commended at the awards.
“Businesses like Quint are the lifeblood of the UK economy and a true inspiration to others, so it’s great to see them recognised for their incredible entrepreneurship, creativity and innovative spirit at the awards.”
