Where / when is it?: The Old Sunday School, Roe Street, Macclesfield, SK11 6UT. Saturday, December 16, 2pm-6.30pm. What does it involve?: Want to give your presents some added sparkle and originality? Come along to our shopping bonanza and we’ll help you to make fab gift boxes and gorgeous bows to bling up your Christmas wrapping. Younger visitors are welcome to join in the crafts too. The event is free, donations welcome. Either bring a present to wrap or maybe buy something in our gift shop. You could even treat yourself to something special while you’re here. We’ll be open until 6.30pm, including Makers’ Place - so it’s an ideal chance to fit in some extra shopping – you won’t find the things we sell on the high street. Who is it suitable for?: All. THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS AT TATTON PARK
Where is it?: Tatton Park, Tatton Park Gardens, Mereheath Drive, Knutsford, WA16 6QN. When is it?: 11am-4pm (last entry 3pm), Friday, December 15, to Sunday, December 17, and Saturday, December 23. Who is it suitable for?: Everyone. What does it involve?: Count down to the big day and learn the secret symbolism behind this well-known Christmas carol. Go on a magical journey through the festive Christmas mansion, decorated with fresh foliage and greenery, inspired by turtle doves, gold rings and ladies dancing. Music, laughter and secrets weave through the grand state rooms and servants’ quarters, and there will be festive treats and seasonal craft demonstrations on offer. Any other information?: National Trust members are required to pay entry to this seasonal event. Cost: Special event pricing: Adults £10, ages four to 15 £6, car and mini-bus £6 entry charge.
