Orient have appetite to deny hosts

-

LEYTON Orient defender Marvin Ekpiteta believes his side are all hungry to deny Macclesfield Town from earning promotion when they meet this weekend.

The Silkmen welcome Orient to the Moss Rose on Saturday, with the match also live in front of the BT Sport cameras.

While Macclesfield are favourites for the game, Ekpiteta says there are enough determined players in the team to cause the upset.

“There are a few of us in the team who are all hungry and we all want to play and we’re all good enough to play so its about waiting for our chance and when we get it, taking it,” he said.

“We’ve just to carry on working hard and continuing to play well, and when we do get our chance then hopefully we can make it count.

“I’ve been training hard, as have all of the boys. They are all good lads here and I’ve enjoyed every minute at the club so far.”

Macclesfield will be hoping for a similar result to when they played Leyton Orient in the reverse fixture earlier this season, with Scott Wilson getting the only goal of the game in first half stoppage time to earn Macc a 1-0 win at Brisbane Road back in October.

Leyton Orient head into the match in decent form, having won three straight league games, including a dominant 4-1 win at home to Barrow last weekend, with Macauley Bonne scoring twice, along with a Josh Koroma goal and a Dan Jones own goal.
