Surgery employs PR firm for media relations work

-

A ‘LUXURY’ medical practice has appointed a PR firm to take over communications for the surgery.

Pinches Medical and Wellbeing, in Macclesfield, has chosen Big Brand Ideas to oversee the company’s media relations.

The private practice is based in the historic Grade II* listed Charles Roe House, on Chestergate.

Once the home of former Macclesfield Mayor Charles Roe, the building was totally renovated last year.

There were originally hopes by a local arts group to create a Joy Division exhibition in the house but when a lack of funding halted the plans, businessman Ian Pinches bought the Grade II listed building with ambitious plans to create a GP surgery, arts cafe and events centre.

Pinches, which opened earlier this year, now has a team of six GPs, a nursing team and a range of wellbeing practitioners including physiotherapy, counselling and nutrition.

Ian Pinches, founder and commercial director at Pinches Medical, said the move to appoint Big Band Ideas was down to a shared vision of what the firm is and where it is going.

He said: “We were impressed with the Big Brand Ideas team from the beginning. They shared the same vision as ourselves for Pinches Medical and Wellbeing moving forward.

“We offer a unique private GP and wellbeing service aimed at helping patients live their lives without limits.

“Big Brand Ideas has supported us to bring our vision to life and engage our target audiences. Their branding work has really set us apart from the competition.”

Abi Owers, engagement director for Big Brand Ideas, shared Ian’s sentiments and said her team have been fully focused on Pinches since they were appointed and now hopes to help the business grow.

She said: “We have been living and breathing Pinches Medical from day one.

“Working closely with the creative and web development teams, we will be implementing a targeted PR and social media campaign across Cheshire and the North West to support a range of services offered by Pinches.

“Our integrated approach allows us to grow with brands like Pinches and work with them to achieve their goals.”
