Young adults encouraged to sign up for Princes Trust
CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service is looking for young people from the Macclesfield area to recruit on to a free Prince’s Trust course.
The programme, which starts on Monday, June 4th, is a 12-week course that gives young people between the ages of 16 and 25 the opportunity to learn new skills, complete qualifications and gain greater self-confidence.
Josie Shearman, Programme manager, said: “The team will be based at Macclesfield Fire Station and anyone who takes part will get to meet new people, improve their confidence and develop employability skills. They will also gain qualifications such as first aid and get to attend a graduation event at the end of the programme.
“You may know someone who would benefit from taking part in the programme or have a family member who is stuck in a bit of a rut.
“If so then please give us a call to find out more.”
Experience shows that 80pc of all graduates from the programme have gone on to achieve things as a result, this includes getting back into or going forward into education or gaining employment and training.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has had a long, strong and proud partnership with The Prince’s Trust for 25 years and continues to see the benefits that arise from the work it does. The programme aims to move young people into full time employment and jobrelated training.
