Care home nominated for a national award
A MACCLESFIELD care home has been shortlisted for a national award.
Hollins Park, on Victoria Road, has been shortlisted in the Best Nursing Care category at the national Care Home Awards.
The home cares for 41 residents living with dementia, all with very specific needs.
Judge’s praised Hollins’s staff have been praised for a ‘high level of care’.
Tracy Norbury, home manager at Hollins Park, said it is important to make residents feel as comfortable as possible.
She said: “At Hollins Park, we strive to create a sense of belonging within the home, as well as building strong links and support systems for our neighbours. Hollins Park is first and foremost the residents’ home, and we always ensure people living with dementia receive the best possible care.
“Everyone here works incredibly hard to provide our residents with compassionate, personcentred care and I’m delighted that our efforts have been recognised by the Care Home Awards.
“We are hopeful that we can reach the finals and win the category.”
The ceremony will be on Wednesday, June 27.
