BOXING BY SHELDAN KEAY

MACCLESFIELD Boys Boxing Club have been celebrating after another fantastic season for the team when they had their annual trip to Blackpool.

After a year which saw the team produce regional champions, along with having several boxers from the club compete at international level, the club headed off to Blackpool for a morning sparring session with Kingscoate ABC at the old mill gym in the centre of Blackpool.

After two hours of sparing with some quality boxing and hard work on the bags and pads, Macc thanked the club for accommodating them after a brilliant time, and then headed off to the Sandcastle Water Park on the front for two hours of fun for the young boxers on the slides and wave pool, along with two hours of relaxation for the coaches in the spa area.

All of the kids had a great time but before they knew it, it was time to leave for some food, with the club having fish and chips on the sea front while dodging the seagulls as the younger kids dipped their toes in the sea.

Everyone had a fantastic day as it was all paid for by the club, which would not be possible without the support from the sponsors that give donations to the club.

The club would like to give a big thank you to those sponsors: Beargrills Cafe, Round Table, LDF Plastering, Paul Dean Stonemason, Sandstone, Paul Smith Mulberry Bush, Pete Jackson Tone Zone, Spitfire Doors, J Tape, The Flag Coare Street and Leoni Wiring.
