Three dealers await sentence

- DOMINIC SMITHERS

THREE men are awaiting sentence after admitting their roles in the supply of class A drugs in Macclesfield.

Thomas Sealeaf, 36, of Knutsford Walk, in Macclesfield and Daniel Daley, 23, of Maple Close, in Liverpool, both pleaded guilty to possessing crack cocaine and heroin, with intent to supply at Chester Crown Court.

In a separate case, Julian Jones, 40, of Lonsdale Road, in Liverpool, has also pleaded guilty to possession of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.

After the hearings, police said that all three men were arrested in and around the town centre.

Detective Sergeant Jonathan Ryder is head of the specialist task force, leading a crackdown on the drug trade in the town, which was responsible for the arrests of the three men.

He said his team are constantly fighting to clean up the town’s streets and says theses arrests are sending a strong message to big city drug gangs.

Det Sgt Ryder said: “These results are very positive for us. We are working very hard and we are getting the results and there are more in the pipeline to continue the efforts.

“The cops are on it, it may not always be visible but we are doing it and it is a number one issue for us.

“The message is clear, come here and you will be arrested and you will go to jail.”

Jones is due to be sentenced in December, while Sealeaf and Daley are due to be sentenced next month.
