Macclesfield 2 enjoyed a 4-1 victory at Division Five South near-neighbours Prestbury 6. The hosting ‘Sixths’ were buoyed up over the return, six months after shoulder surgery, and a comeback-triumph at fourth string, by Dave Marwood. But victories for Annika Hall, Ollie Critchley, Joe Green and Chris Holt sealed the outcome in favour of Macc.

Bollington 4, despite a Tom Grimes win, lost 4-1 at Crewe Vagrants 6.

The Cheshire Ladies’ League saw Prestbury 1 and newly-promoted Bollington in Division Two winter action for the first time - each getting off the mark after a 3-2 away win at, respectively, City of Manchester 2 and Alderley Edge 2. Fran Taylor, Helen Thaw and Vicky Bisset were on the mark for Prestbury, while Annika Hall, Jen Robinson and Charlotte Dewar secured the Bolly Ladies’ winning start.

But in Division 3(b), Prestbury suffered a second successive 4-1 home-defeat - with only a walkover-win at fifth-string to show for their efforts.
