Move helps company hit new heights

- ALEX SCAPENS

ANEW era for a Macclesfield firm has got off to a successful start with nominations for four industry awards.

The Insurance Surgery (TIS) moved premises this summer - going to Merchant Exchange, Waters Green, after more than 10 years at Pickford Street.

And it has been nominated for best small intermediary and best specialist intermediary in the Cover Excellence Awards.

The nominations come off the back of work including that to help high risk customers access insurance products.

In addition TIS has been shortlisted in the categories of best protection intermediary and the intermediary innovation award for the Health Insurance Awards.

The firm is also donating money to worthy causes through the TIS Club.

As part of this customers who take out a policy can nominate a charity for a £500 donation.

Staff and customers then vote for the winner and so far two have been selected - children’s charity Circus Starr and the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.

A TIS spokesman said: “Circus Starr provides disadvantaged, disabled and vulnerable children the chance to attend a very special circus.

“We are so honoured that we were able to contribute to making this event possible, we were also lucky enough to attend the showing held in Macclesfield, this was truly an amazing experience. We are going to go and meet the team at the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund soon and we cannot wait. We also cannot wait to see our customers nominations again this month and beyond.”

And speaking of the move to new location the spokesman added: “We have been in our new home for more than four months now and we could not be happier

“We cannot wait to see the TIS family grow further in these new premises.”
