dissent against the leadership of this council.

WE told how a toddler had hurt themselves on broken glass ‘purposely’ left on slide steps at Barnaby park in Poynton. Kady Brighton: How could any parent miss it? Do they not check for sharpies, dogs mess, syringes etc before putting their child on a slide? Lee Villers: How did she miss it? Kids run off soon as they get in the park, that’s how. Barbara Slater: Don’t allow your child to run off and make it a rule. That’s why there are rules in school to teach children they have to obey. Tanya O’Brien: Everyone acting like it’s something new that’s happened, teens have been doing this since I was little. Only difference been we was taken home got cleaned up and then taken back out again instead of going to A&E and the paper. Kelly Adams: Some parks just aren’t fit for rats and mice, never mind children!

PEOPLE expressed delight that Broughton Lodge had received a much-improved Care Quality Commission inspection report. Ami Fenwick: So proud of all of our support (miracle) workers. We put in blood sweat and tears but mostly hardcore dedication. Richard Asante: Is amazing, the support team is fantastic. Will keep doing what we love doing thanks all. Lauren Ceara McCavana Makepeace: This is what our residents deserve. A happy home with team work. Proud to be a part of the team.

THE Department for Education’s Progress 8 tables had Macclesfield Academy pupils as failing to make enough progress (see page 2). Pauline Girdwood: Macclesfield Academy is fantastic for kids with autism which is more than can be said for other secondary schools in Macclesfield! It is a caring supportive environment where children of all abilities are encouraged to be the best they can be both academically and as a person. What more could you want? Nicola Gorton: Nothing wrong with Broken Cross Academy my little boy is well looked after, learning what he needs to. The senco in school is outstanding, it’s clean and modern and couldn’t ask for anything more! Amanda Pickles: I can certainly vouch for Macclesfield Academy my kids are doing amazing there. One is diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum and he’s doing fantastic the other is in top set for everything and they’re pushing him to better himself I can’t vouch for everyone but I can for me and my children.
