X-factor star to perform at the first East Cheshire Hospice Live event

-

A ‘FUN and fantastic evening’ is promised next month at Macclesfield Rugby Club where the very first ever East Cheshire Hospice Live event will be held.

The fundraising event for the East Cheshire Hospice is being organised by Ryan Cawley who is one of the members of a 40-strong team from Barclays Bank who have pledged to raise £25,000 for the hospice this year.

The group will all be taking part in the arduous Three Peaks Challenge travelling 462 miles to climb the peaks of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in May and each member is seeking to raise £750 individually to contribute to the overall total.

Ryan, who works as a business implementation manager for the bank, will be calling on some previous event management skills to organise an evening of music, dancing and food on Saturday, February 16.

There will be performances from two local acts, former X-Factor contestant Andy Hofton and Klazomaniacs – a group of Year 11 performing arts and music students from Fallibroome Academy.

“I used to organise gigs when I was a student so I’m hoping everything runs smoothly,” said Ryan.

“After the event I’ll be getting down to some solid walking practice to prepare for the big Challenge in May.”

Tickets are only £3 each and available at the rugby club; Bubbletex Interiors; Brassingtons Deli; The Queens Hotel; the Buxton Road Co-op and also online: www. macclesfieldrufc.co.uk/ product/east-cheshirehospice-live.
