to bed in the final minute of normal time as Walker converted an in-swinging corner.

Boss Campbell felt his side’s slow start and failure to convert chances cost them during their 3-1 defeat to Mansfield Town on Saturday.

“We started very slow. We weren’t tracking our runners, Kieran O’Hara makes a good save but the rebound falls to the scorer. We should have really tracked our runners and helped the ball on,” he said.

“We got back into the game, but then it’s all about the two boxes. We should really be a bit more switched on with our set plays and we really need to work the goalkeeper a bit more with our chances when it’s 1-1.

“We responded well in the second half. We started playing a bit more, but we can play more than that. They’re at the top, looking for promotion and we gave them a really good game, but it just came down to chances and if we had a bit more sharpness up front then it would have been a different score. We hit the post as well.

“We need to be a bit cooler in front of goal and the the disappointing thing for me is that the players weren’t switched on for the set-plays. They weren’t really amazing set plays, we just lost our men from time to time and it cost us a goal.

“All in all, we started really slowly in this game and I was a little bit disappointed in that. We got back into it but it’s just in the two boxes where we are lacking.

“Our set-plays needed to be better, and in front of goal we needed to be cooler because we would have won the game if we managed that.”
