Former Fox Martis the latest new recruit
MACCLESFIELD Town continue to bolster their squad in the battle against relegation after making four new signings in the past week.
The latest of those is winger Liandro Martis, who has agreed a deal with the club until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old came through the youth ranks at RKSV Scherpenheuvel, before leaving his homeland to join Dutch giants Feyenoord.
He signed his first professional contract with Willem II, and then had a number of trials with clubs in England, including Manchester United.
He later signed for Leicester City, but injury plagued his spell there, with the Curacao international now looking to get his career back on track at the Moss Rose.
Martis joins three other players that arrived at Macclesfield on the final day of the January transfer window.
Former Belgium U21 midfielder Brice Ntambwe has signed a deal until the end of the season, while Swansea City striker Botti Biabi has agreed a loan deal until the end of the campaign.
Both men made their debut for Macclesfield during the 3-1 defeat to Mansfield Town on Saturday.
Ntambwe had spells in the youth academies of Birmingham City, SV Ritterclub and FC Brussels, and most recently played for Partick Thistle earlier this season.
Biabi arrived at Swansea for a six-figure fee from Falkirk in August 2015, and also had a loan spell at Hamilton Academical in 2017.
The final recent signing for Macclesfield is striker Shamir Mullings, who has also agreed a deal until the end of the season.
He began his career as a 16-year-old with Southend United, and has also gone on to represent Forest Green Rovers, Dagenham and Redbridge, Maidstone United, Havant and Waterlooville and Chelmsford.
He previously played for Macclesfield back in 2017, but his loan spell was cut short due to injury.
