Eye in the sky to focus on charity

-

AMEMBER of staff at an eye-care store should get a good view during his fundraising escapades – he will be 10,000ft in the air.

Craig Wollaston, retail supervisor at Macclesfield’s Specsavers, in the Grosvenor Centre, will take on a tandem skydive.

He is raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society and has already raised £1,000 – double his original target of £500.

The skydive, which will be Craig’s first, will take place on March 10 so he is hoping to raise even more over the next month.

He said: “I’m nervous for the skydive but I’m blown away by the support from my colleagues and from the local community.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who’s donated so far.

“We have until February 22 to collect more donations, so it would be amazing to boost that figure and help the charity that goes above and beyond every day to support those with dementia.”

Peter Scott, a director at the store, said: “The whole team are really proud of Craig and his efforts so far and we know he’s going to smash it.

“The Alzheimer’s Society is a fantastic charity and the Specsavers team are pleased to be able to support them in anyway we can.”
