Tyre firm gets in tune with band

-

A BOLLINGTON business has hit the right note with its community work by sponsoring musicians.

tyrZ for Tyres, on Henshall Road, has renewed its agreement with Macclesfield Youth Brass Band for another 12 months.

It means that the family-run company has now been sponsoring the band for five years.

The money supports the group’s operational costs as well as helping with the purchase of instruments and travelling to events.

Andy Ritchie, owner of tyrZ for Tyres, said: “We are overjoyed to have extended our partnership with the Macclesfield Youth Brass Band.

“It’s a great organisation that I know many young, local, children thrive from being a part of, even our own!”

He added: “We look forward to continuing to support them further this year.”

Macclesfield Youth Brass Band currently has 120 members aged between seven and 19.

It has a youth band, a junior band and a training band with helpers providing their time on a voluntary basis.

Louise Renshaw, who is from the band, added: “We are extremely grateful for the support of tyrZ.

“Their generosity allows us to provide the best experiences for our members, helping to keep them motivated and committed to their hobby.”
