Light Up The Night for a loved one
THE popular East Cheshire Hospice annual memory walk is to have a makeover.
The spring walk, which is a celebration of life and the chance to reflect on loved ones, has a new name – Light Up The Night.
As in the previously named Starlight Walk, there will be a choice of three different walks – a 2.5km loop, two loops for 5k or four loops for 10k through the beautiful grounds of Capesthorne Hall.
The walk takes place at dusk on the evening of Friday, April 5, and walkers will carry a paper lantern to light the way along the route as the sun sets.
During the walk, attendees will also have the opportunity to float a lantern on the lake at Capesthorne, in celebration of the life of the person or people they are remembering.
There will be music, entertainment, food and drink and the evening will come to a spectacular end with a firework display to Light Up The Night.
Early bird packages are now on sale until the end of the month.
Tickets are £16 for over 16s and £11 for ages 5-15 and includes entry to the event, a unique Light up the Night T-shirt and a hand-held paper lantern.
Walkers are asked to try and raise at least £50 of sponsorship and a fundraising pack full of ideas is available on the website www.east cheshirehospice.org.uk or contact a member of the fundraising team on 01625 433477.
