Ladies get chance to lunch in style

- CHRIS GEE

ACHARITY ladies’ lunch is being held at which women can enjoy a luxurious meal before being given a styling masterclass by an international image consultant.

Tytherington Club is hosting the event from noon on Friday, February 28 to raise funds for the Christie.

The lunch, to be held in the Dorchester Suite, will consist of an arrival drink followed by a two course meal.

There will then be a styling masterclass by image consultant Hannah Shaw, founder of Project You.

She provides bespoke services and packages for individuals and businesses to manage their personal impact, have greater confidence, greater success and above all else happiness.

There will also be an opportunity to browse and shop with Macclesfield based Style Of My Own, an independent online fashion boutique, formed by two fashion inspired local mums Lucy and Leah who aspired to create unique and affordable trendy apparel for women.

Bea Mitchell, who is helping to organise the event, said: “We at the Tytherington Club have chosen the Christie as our charity of the year.

“The fantastic work done there is close to home for most of our staff and customers and we are delighted to help in any way as the charity plans to build their unit here in Macclesfield.

“I’m sure the event will be a wonderful afternoon and are looking forward to welcoming our guests.”

Fundraising for a new state of the art Christie cancer centre based in Macclesfield hit the £3M mark in December thanks to the generosity of the public.

The Christie charity is aiming to raise £23M towards the cost of the new centre, which will transform cancer care in East Cheshire, providing Christie care closer to home for more than 1,500 existing patients every year.

Tickets for the ladies’ lunch, from which proceeds will go the Christie appeal, cost £25.
