Gaffer bemoans professionalism

Silkmen chief Kennedy reveals biggest gripe in bid to turn form around

-

MACCLESFIELD Town head coach Mark Kennedy has made it clear to his players exactly what they need to do to try and end their poor run of form.

Ahead of the midweek fixtures, the Silkmen had lost four and drawn one of their last five games, including a 3-2 home defeat to Exeter City on Saturday.

Kennedy is keen to cut that out as quick as possible, and has explained what he thinks needs to happen in order to return to winning ways.

“My biggest gripe is – I wouldn’t say a lack of professionalism – but people taking out instructions to the letter of the law, and goals that have cost us games this year no-one is opening us up, no-one is really working the goalkeeper, no-one is outplaythink the mistakes are clash with Plymouth ing us,” he said. really simple to fix, and Argyle, and Kennedy had

“They’re a great group to work with and they’re honest, humble and bloody good players!

“All I can do is give them information and we work really hard tactically, mentally and physically.”

The Silkmen were set to return to action as the express went to print on Tuesday, as they were due to take on Plymouth Argyle at the Moss Rose.

Ahead of the game, Plymouth were in fourth position, having won 18, lost 6 and drawn 8 of their 32 matches so far this season.

It is the re-arranged fixture from the originally planned game in December, which couldn’t go ahead at the time after Macc were issued with a zero capacity notice at the Moss Rose.
